Q & A with Tuvia Tenenbom will follow presentation, and a Book Signing will conclude the evening.
The film:
For his new book, Gott spricht Jiddisch, Tuvia Tenenbom flies from the United States to Israel to embark on a new journey, almost four decades after leaving the ultra-Orthodox community where he grew up. With a love for people, and a fluent command of Yiddish, he sets out to uncover the true nature of the ultra-Orthodox.
Tenenbom sets his base in Mea Shearim, the famous ultra-Orthodox quarter in Jerusalem, mingles with his new neighbors, and approaches them with questions about the meaning of Judaism, the meaning of faith, their inner thoughts, and their purpose in life.
