The film premiered in the main competition section of the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, where Dizdar won the Best Actress award. It was selected as the Turkish entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 96th Academy Awards.

The film follows Samet, a young teacher, who is finishing his fourth year of compulsory service in a remote village in Anatolia.
