LATIN QUARTER presents Redención (Redemption) as part of BERLATIN, a special series of screenings bringing the best of Latin American cinema to Berlin. 

This electrifying Peruvian film explores faith, power, and the unseen forces that drive human behavior. A devoted couple welcomes a young pregnant woman into their home, setting in motion an unsettling journey through desire, morality, and control. 

With an unflinching gaze, Redención confronts the realities of gender violence and impunity, questioning the fragile boundaries that separate justice from complicity. 

As the director explains, the film dares to step into uncomfortable territory, exposing the tensions that shape our society and the choices that define us. Redención arrives at its Berlin premiere following an acclaimed international festival run and will next have its French premiere in Paris.
