"The City Without Jews" (1924) is a satirical anti-utopia about an Austrian town that expels its Jews. The story of the movie is as dramatic as its plot. It is based on a novel by Hugo Bettauer, who was killed in 1925 by a member of the Nazi party. The movie was screened as a protest against Hitler's politics and lost in 1933 until rediscovered in 2015.
