Liuda (Lyudmila Semyonova) und ihr Mann Kolia (Nikolai Batalov) leben in einer kleinen Moskauer Wohnung. Als Volodia, ein alter Freund Kolias in der Stadt auftaucht, zieht dieser kurzfristig bei dem jungen Ehepaar ein.
Während Kolia auf Dienstreise ist, stürzen sich Liuda und Volodia in eine Affäre.

Als Kolia davon Wind bekommt, tobt er vor Wut, findet sich aber schnell damit ab und nimmt fortan Volodias (Vladimir Fogel) Platz auf der Couch ein.

Die attraktive Liuda findet sich in einer Dreiecksbeziehung wieder, bis sie plötzlich schwanger ist.

Doch während die beiden Männer damit hadern, sich zu entscheiden, was denn der nächst richtige Schritt ist, trifft Liuda eine eigene Entscheidung...

Liuda (Lyudmila Semyonova) and her husband Kolia (Nikolai Batalov) live in a small flat in Moscow. When Volodia, an old friend of Kolia's, turns up in town, he moves in with the young couple at short notice.
While Kolia is away on business, Liuda and Volodia embark on an affair.

When Kolia finds out, he is furious, but quickly comes to terms with it and takes Volodia's (Vladimir Fogel) place on the sofa.

The attractive Liuda finds herself in a love triangle until she suddenly becomes pregnant.

But while the two men struggle to decide what the next right step is, Liuda makes her own decision...
