Hungaricum: Narcissus and Psyche [Nárcisz és Psyché] [OmeU] Ung 1980 R : Gábor Bódy mit Patricia Adriani, Udo Kier, György Cserhalmi, 261 Min
The story is based on a novel by Sandor Weores. Borrowing the character of Psyche from mythology and placing her into the 19th century Europe, the authors gave her a "modern" life. She is an attractive young woman now - and remains so throughout the film, in spite of all the devastating hardships she has to go through. Psyche is libidinous, and her prurient interests shock her respectable, and unadventurous contemporaries.
