The Greenlandic performance artist and poet Jessie Kleemann links themes from her homeland with her experiences as a feminist city dweller.

The Inuit culture is an essential source of inspiration, and the gap between the former colonial power Denmark and the former colony of Greenland is often an impetus for her work. In her performance specially developed for the festival in Berlin, she will dedicate herself to one of the first stories written and printed in Greenlandic.

This is a  reminder and revival of the Greenlandic national poets Jens Kreutzmann and Aaron von Kangeq from the 19th century.
