In LA PIEL MAS TEMIDA (The Most Feared Skin), a routine trip turns into a profound psychological journey. After 22 years of self-imposed exile in Sweden, 27-year-old Alejandra returns to Cusco to sell her family home. She uncovers a buried family secret: her father is alive, imprisoned, and serving a sentence for his past militancy in the Maoist guerrilla group, the Shining Path. Against her mother's warnings, Alejandra journeys deep into the Peruvian Andes to confront the man behind the myth.
One of the most fiercely debated Latin American films of recent years, Calero delivers a masterful exploration of identity, collective guilt, and historical inheritance.

Tras el gran éxito de LA ÚLTIMA TARDE en el kino Babylon, el director Joel Calero regresa a Berlín con la esperada segunda entrega de su aclamada Trilogía de la Memoria.
En LA PIEL MÁS TEMIDA, un viaje rutinario se convierte en una profunda travesía psicológica. Tras 22 años de exilio autoimpuesto en Suecia, Alejandra, de 27 años, regresa a Cusco para vender la casa familiar. Allí descubre un secreto oculto: su padre está vivo, encarcelado y cumpliendo condena por su militancia pasada en la guerrilla maoísta Sendero Luminoso. En contra de las advertencias de su madre, Alejandra emprende un viaje hacia los Andes peruanos para enfrentarse al hombre detrás del mito.
Una de las películas latinoamericanas más debatidas de los últimos años, Calero ofrece una exploración magistral de la identidad, la culpa colectiva y la herencia histórica.
